My kids ALWAYS want to help me with cleaning and I definitely want to encourage that! However, I don't want to have them spraying harmful chemicals around and breathing them in. I found this AMAZING recipe for a window and glass cleaner that actually works BETTER than windex. The trick is shaking it well before use and making sure that you keep wiping the surface until it is completely dry. I love having cleaners that I can confidently hand my kids without worrying about them touching or breathing it.

Homemade window cleaner:

1 cup Hot water

1 cup Rubbing alcohol

4 tbsp. Cornstarch

40 drops Lemon essential oil

-Pour water into measuring cup, add rubbing alcohol, whisk in cornstarch, add essential oil and stir.

Luckily these ingredients are all super easy to find in the grocery stores, but I'll like my favorite essential oils to add to my cleaners! I personally love citrus scented cleaners and lemon essential oil adds extra antibacterial and antimicrobial properties!
